The sip that reminds you why cocktails exist in the first place. Whiskey, sugar, and bitters made for late nights and unhurried conversation. Rich, warming, and timeless. Evolved in the early 1800s as one of the first defined cocktails.
Method
✦ Place sugar cube in glass
✦ Add bitters and muddle
✦ Add whiskey, ice and orange slice.
✦ Stir well approx 60 seconds or until sugar is dissolved.
Serve
Served in a rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnished with an orange peel to add warmth.
Ingredients
✦ 60ml Bourbon or Rye whiskey
✦ 5ml Sugar syrup or 1 sugar cube
✦ 2 dashes Angostura bitters
